Scholarship Exams

The scholarships can be either academic, sport, music or general achievement. Academic scholarships require the completion of an examination. Sport and music scholarships usually also require the completion of an examination and results are then used in conjunction with sport and music skills.

Awarding of academic scholarships is based on performance in scholarship tests conducted by the school. An interview is commonly part of the process. Scholarships awarded may account for a percentage of the tuition fees. The number of scholarships awarded by a school is determined from year to year.

Academic scholarship examinations tests are conducted by schools themselves or for the vast majority of schools by independent testing services such as ACER, Academic Associates (Allwell) or Edutest. It is important to contact the school of interest to find out the program that is being used for the current year. Please note that independent testing services can make minor changes to exam format from year to year.
