Brainworks Naplan Tutoring Programs

NAPLAN is an annual assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It tests the types of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, spelling, language conventions and numeracy. Brainworks Naplan test preparation will enable your child to approach the test with confidence.

Preparation

Year 3

The curriculum includes specifically written maths, language convention, spelling and writing worksheets. Students practise questions in the same style as the NAPLAN test.

Year 5

Students work through tasks associated with spelling, language conventions and writing. Foundation skills in maths are developed and students are then extended using problem solving and reasoning which are also appropriate if they choose to move into scholarship and selective school preparation.

Maths

Students enrolled in the Foundation maths Core Skills Program also work through NAPLAN style questions and format. Students build key skills and develop their problem solving skills.

Writing

The curriculum includes creative and persuasive writing that is suitable for year 2 to 9. Students learn about essay structures, development and organisation of ideas, punctuation and expression.

Language Conventions

Students work through a range of tasks including spelling, grammar and punctuation that are appropriate for age. Students expand their vocabulary and knowledge of the English language.
