In all of our programs each of our students works through a framework that is individualised according to their need. Students to teacher ratio is low and therefore teachers have the time to teach one to one, discuss skills and guide students during their learning. All student work is corrected with great emphasis on method and process. Assessment of their work is constantly recorded and reviewed for appropriate action. Our aim is to provide challenge to students of all abilities.

Foundation English & Maths

English and maths based upon the school curriculum and provides for remediation or advancement. The Foundation course can be combined with the scholarship/selective entry curriculum to extend students.

Scholarship and Selective Entry

Whilst the format of these exams differ between test providers and year level, there are common elements requiring students to have a strong grasp of skills and higher order thinking. Our aim is to ensure that students have experience of all the subject areas for any exam that they choose to sit, that they are encouraged throughout our program and that we assist them so that they can achieve their best.

Scholarship and selective entry courses provide the ability to prepare for all competitive exams and to extend learning. Students work through a framework that is individualised so that they can

  • build skills progressively and effectively assimilate new knowledge
  • familiarise themselves with the test and style of questions
  • improve exam technique and strategy including timing
