Selective School Entry

Every year, selective public schools across Melbourne conduct entrance exams for selective entry to year 7, 9 & 10 students. The process involves sitting a specific exam and sometimes an interview. Selective school exams are conducted in Sydney for entry to year 4 classes and year 7 selective schools.

Benefit from 25 years of experience in preparing students for specific entrance exams to Melbourne High, MacRobertson Girls’ High, Nossal High, Suzanne Cory High, John Monash Science School, SEAL and ALP schools and similar tests.

**Being taught one to one is important to your child because they become fully engaged in their learning and motivated to achieve their goal.**

- build skills progressively to be able to effectively assimilate new knowledge

- familiarise themselves with the selective exam format and questions

- improve selective school exam technique and strategy including timing to be able to cope with the format

**When to prepare?**For entry to selective schools at year 9 or later:

Preparation for John Monash can begin from year 8 or 9, for entry to year 10.

Preparation for Elizabeth Blackburn can begin from year 10, for entry to year 11.

**Course Structure**The selective school exam preparation course is taught in modular format which consists of 8 weekly one and a half hour sessions working through content that builds skills, provides familiarity and improves exam strategy. Students have access to the online learning site which provides for greater familiarity and challenge. Students may accelerate the module by attending for 3 hours over 4 weeks. At the end of the first module the student completes a practice exam.
