The selective entry program assists students to be prepared for all independent test services (formats) provided by Edutest, ACER and others.

Subjects studied can include:

  • Reading comprehension
  • Mathematics & problem solving
  • Writing
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Numerical Reasoning
  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Humanities
  • Science for year 8 & 9

When should you prepare?

For entry to schools at year 9 or later:

  • Preparation for Melbourne, MacRob., Suzanne Cory and Nossal Highs can begin from year 7 or 8, for entry into year 9. These schools also have entry to year 10.
  • Preparation for John Monash can begin from year 8 or 9, for entry to year 10.
  • Preparation for Elizabeth Blackburn  can begin from year 9 or 10, for entry to year 11.


For entry to schools at year 7:

  • Preparation for SEAL (ALP) and other programs, to schools such as University, Balwyn and Box Hill Highs can begin from year 5 or 6, for entry into year 7.
